It is a complementary method to clinical examination that we can use in diagnosis and treatment in order to define the disease, diagnosis and treatment criteria of teeth and surrounding tissues, and to evaluate anomalies and developmental defects. It is the branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of tooth, jaw and facial irregularities. Malocclusion, which is called irregular and bad bite, can be treated with orthodontics.
